What 2E width actually means

Shoe widths run from B (narrow) through D (standard) to 2E and beyond. A 2E last is noticeably broader across the forefoot and toe box, so your foot sits flat instead of being squeezed - critical when a composite toe cap defines the front of the shoe. The result: no pressure points, no numb toes at hour eight, no going a size up and slipping at the heel.
